Synopsis
If Dealer already announced the arrival of a major talent on the international stage Womb confirms it with Hungarian writer-director Fliegauf delivering this hypnotic tale of love lost and found but not as you necessarily know it. Childhood sweethearts Rebecca and Thomas are separated in a tragedy but reunited when she makes a controversial decision in order to bring her lover back, seemingly, from the dead. Sumptuously photographed against some of England’s most breathtaking coastal surrounds, Womb sustains a rarefied atmosphere with a futuristic context set in the now.
